Step 4:  A New pop-up window will get open, specify the host name of the server where the cluster database exists and click on “Select” button.

Step 5: If it is a cluster database, select the option as shown below, else if this is a standalone database select “only on the host xxxxxxxx”  option and click “Continue”:

Step 6: Once you click “Continue” as mentioned in the last step, the discovery of targets will start. This process is described in the below attached screen-shot. This will take some time to discover targets on this cluster/host:

Step 7: Once the targets are discovered on cluster, select that particular target, like in this example I have selected “PADMO” .

Step 8:  Please enter the DBSNMP password, if it is a standby instance then you have to enter the “SYS” password. This password will be used by the OMS to monitor the database and check its availability. You can additionally can also add the group name, in which you want the database to belong.

Please click on “Next” after putting all the details.

Step 9: Last step comes where you can put additionally the target properties if you want, this will act as advantage if you have set up Administration Group in your OEM application. Setting up global target properties will add your “cluster database” under “Administration Group”.

Once you are done setting up the Global Target Properties, you will be then navigated to discovering targets page on the cluster. Click on Save, once target is saved, click OK. Your Cluster database has been successfully added as target.
